MAINTENANCE PLANNER / SCHEDULER - MONROEVILLE, ALABAMA
Responsibilities:
The Planner / Scheduler will schedule daily and weekly work, and will assist with shutdown/outage work scheduling. Additional responsibilities are:
Utilize MP2 Scheduling Tool to build all daily and weekly schedules. Every week schedule 100% manpower utilization based on available hours
Pre-Load PMs, training, vacations and floaters at the beginning of each weekly scheduling cycle
Pre-load shutdown schedules with routine repetitive items
Participate in priority and planning meetings, outage coordination meetings, and schedule review meetings
Participate in all root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to help improve equipment reliability
Coordinate contracted maintenance services, including: writing scopes of work, creating contract requisitions.
Maintain accurate equipment lists and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Run outage meetings for assigned departments on a weekly basis
Back up Maintenance Planners and Maintenance Supervisors as required
BASIC
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance planning / scheduling
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial maintenance department or manufacturing facility
Working knowledge of effective preventive / predictive maintenance methodologies and processes
Must be able to read mechanical, structural and electrical drawings.
Proficient experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and planning skills
The ability to provide management and support staff with reports and guidance to make informed decisions in regard to maintenance schedules
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn various PC-based operations and maintenance applications.
Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.
Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Experience with Maximo, MP2, or SAP (MP2 highly desired)
Working knowledge of repair methods and tools used in an industrial maintenance environment.
Electrical maintenance experience, including knowledge of PLCs, A/C & D/C motors, and drive controls

Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize duties, and follow tasks to completion in a timely manner
