The E&I Maintenance Technician role is an experienced skilled crafts position that creates value by performing a combination of electrical and maintenance duties, ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals. The successful E&I Maintenance Technician will demonstrate teamwork and initiative and adhere to all safety standards and codes.

A Day In The Life Typically Include

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and instrumentation for production and process equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Minimize production downtime and provide plant support in all areas of equipment, processes, facilities, environmental, utilities, energy, regulatory compliance and maintenance.
  • Ability to inspect, test, repair, and maintain electric power distirubtion equipment (480VAC), Motors and Controls (480VAC), AC/DC Drives (480VAC), instruments, sensors, burner/boiler controls, PLC programming/troubleshooting (ControlLogix), HMI (Operator Interface) programming, process computers, controls network (Ethernet/DeviceNet).
  • Inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining the electrical and instrumentation parts of process flows, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic systems and valves, hydraulic systems and valves, conveyor systems, flow meters and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID's wiring and circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to read and examine blueprints, engineering drawings and process and instrument diagrams.
  • Performing predictive and preventive electrical maintenance functions.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and taking action.
  • Performing, testing, adjustments, calibrations and servicing activities.
  • Inspecting, repairing, replacing and optically aligning A/C electric motors and A/C, D/C drive systems.
  • Inspecting, repairing and resetting voltages.
  • Setting and calibrating safety limit controls, relief devices, check valves and electrical equipment for temperature, pressure, flow rate, levels, voltage and current according to service manuals, schematic diagrams or process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Setting and calibrating sensors and warning alarms for various hazardous airborne contaminants.
  • Setting machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Full knowledge of safety regulations with emphasis on energy isolation, lockout, confined space entry and line breaking procedures.
  • Unique ability to work in and contribute to a high performance, team based work culture.
  • Ability to select, and properly use personal protective equipment according to the specific hazard or hazards in accordance with GP-Rocky Creek requirements.
  • Ability to train apprentices and other employees.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
